5.6 Cleaning the Reading Transport Belt

If an increase in the number of MICR (Magnetic Ink Characters Recognition) rejects is noticed, it may be
necessary to clean the surface of the reading transport belt to remove extraneous magnetic ink or iron dust.
Clean the external surface of the belt with a soft, lint-free cloth, dampened with Isopropyl Alcohol.
Turn pulley "A" counterclockwise to move the belt in the direction of the arrow and clean the entire belt
surface.
