3. After successfully starting the engine of the
vehicle with the discharged battery, set the
„JUMP START" dial (13) to „OFF".
Disconnecting
Note:
Before disconnecting the jumper leads the rear
and front defrost should be switched on in the
vehicle with the drained battery (do not switch on
vehicle lights). This will reduce possible voltage
spikes whilst disconnecting and prevent dama-
ging electrical parts.
Disconnect the terminal clamps in the following
order:
Caution!
When disconnecting the jumper cables, be careful
they do not come into contact with the moving
parts of the engine.
1. Negative lead (black) from earth point of
vehicle with drained battery.
2. Positive (red) battery cable.
After jumpstarting drive the broken-down vehicle
for a longer distance to charge the battery. You
may also recharge the battery with a charger.
Fully recharge the device after using it for jump
starting (see „Charging the device battery back").
Operating the compressor
Attention!
Always wear suitable ear protectors
and safety goggles during operation!
Check the unit and compressed air hose (22) for
damage before every use! Do not operate dama-
ged units! Review the manufacturer instructions
for the item to be inflated before every use.
1. Remove the air hose (22) from the storage
compartment (14).
2. Select the desired valve adapter. Open the val-
ve quick coupling (23) by pushing the lock-on
lever away from the air hose (22).
3. Now attach the valve adapters and push the
lever toward the air hose to lock it in place.

Changing the pressure unit (PSI, kPA
or bar)
Repeatedly press the „MENU" button (11) until
the display (4) shows the desired pressure unit.
The default value flashes.
Inflating tyres
•
The tyre pressure increases as the tempera-
ture rises. The recommended tyre pressure is
typically specified for cold tyres (approx. 20 °C).
Please refer to the owner's manual for your
vehicle.
•
Do not check the tyre pressure on warm tyres
(e.g. after long trips).
Attention!
Do not operate the compressor for more than
6 minutes. After this time allow the unit to cool
down for 10 minutes!
1. No valve adapter required to inflate car tyres.
First remove the cap from the tyre valve.
2. Release the lock-on lever and place the valve
quick coupling (23) as far on the tyre valve
as possible. Close the lock-on lever in the
process.
3. Verify the automotive valve lever plug is firmly
attached to the tyre valve by carefully pulling
on it.
4. Press the „+" (10) or „-" button (9) until the set
value in the display (4) corresponds with the
desired pressure.
5. Set the On/Off switch (15) to „I" to switch on
the compressor.
Note:
The compressor can be switched off at any time
by setting the On/Off switch (15) to the „O"
position.
The compressor increases the tyre pressure ac-
cording to the set value and stops automatically.
6. Set the On/Off switch (15) to „0" to switch off
the compressor.
7. Release the lock-on lever and remove the
valve quick coupling (23) from the tyre valve.
8. Also check the air pressure with a second
pressure gauge to determine the accurate
value. Repeat the process if the desired air
pressure has not been reached.
24
9. Then replace the valve cap on the tyre valve.
