Always allow motor to run in the above engine speed range
during trimming and cutting
Safety Guidelines
Caution!
Observe the safety and warning guidelines in this
documentation and on the devicet.
Wear suitable work clothes
While working, keep a secure stance
Always operate the device with both hands
Keep body and clothing away from the cutting works
Keep third-parties away from the danger area
Never hold the string head above knee-height while the
device is in operation
During hang mowing work, always stand beneath the
cutting device
Never work on a slippery, sliding hill or slope
Never use the device in the vicinity of highly flammable
fluids or gases - explosion and/or burn danger!
After contact with a foreign object:
Turn off motor
Examine device for damages
Persons who are not familiar with the trimmer should
practice while the motor is turned off
Lengthening the Cutting String
1.
Allow the motor to run at full throttle and tip the string
head on the ground (Illustration 7A).
The string is automatically lengthened.
The blade on the protective shield shortens the
string to the permissible length.
Cleaning the Protective Shield
1.
Turn device off.
2.
Carefully remove mowing debris with a screwdriver or
something similar (Illustration 7B).
Clean the protective shield regularly, in order to
prevent the shaft tube from overheating.

Trimming
1.
Inspect the grounds and determine the desired cutting
height.
2.
Maintain and direct string head at the desired height.
3.
Swiing the device in a sickle-like movement from side
to side.
4.
Constantly maintain string head parallel to the ground
(Illustration 8A).
Close Trimming
1.
Direct the device forward with a light tendency, so that
it moves just above the ground.
2.
Always trim away from your body.
Trimming along Fences and Foundations
Caution!
Do not touch solid construction - Recoil danger!
1.
Direct the device slowly and carefully, without allowing
the string to impact obstacles.
Trimming and Treetrunks
1.
Direct the device slowly and carefully around
treetrunks, so that the cutting string does not touch
the tree bark.
2.
Mow from left to right around treetrunks.
3.
Connect to grass and weeds with the point of the
string and nudge the string head lightly forward.
Trimming along stone walls, foundations and trees
leads to increased string waste.
Mowing
1.
Nudge string head at a 30 degree angle to the right.

Place the handgrip in the desired position.
Caution!
Remove foreign objects in the working area.
Injury danger/property damage from propelled foreign
objects.
