If the child seat is exposed to direct
sunlight, parts could heat up. Children could
suffer burns on these parts, particularly on
metallic parts of the child seat. There is a
risk of injury.
If you and your child leave the vehicle,
always make sure that the child seat is not
exposed to direct sunlight. Protect it, e.g.
with a blanket. If the child seat has been
exposed to direct sunlight, allow it to cool
before securing a child in it. Never leave
children unsupervised in the vehicle.
Caution Before you place the child in the
child seat, make sure that the child seat is
positioned securely and cannot tip over.
Caution Never let your child out of sight in
the child seat when placing it on raised
surfaces (e. g. changing table, table ...).
Take your child out of the child seat as often
as possible and relieve the child's spine. Make
longer journeys easier by taking breaks. Also
remember not to leave your child in the child
seat for too long outside the car.
1. Loosen the shoulder belts; see page 9.

2. Press red button 6 and open the belt

shoulders of the child (without twisting or
interchanging the shoulder belts).
Caution Lap belts 8 must be as low as
possible over the child's groin.
6. Bring together belt tongues 7 and

engage them in the belt buckle audibly
("click").

Caution Pull the adjustment belt straight
forwards (not up or down).
7. Pull on adjustment belt 9 to tighten the
X
belts. Make sure that the belts fit snugly
across the child's body.
8. Hook adjustment belt 9 into the hook
X
under the seat shell.
G WARNING
Make sure that the adjustment belt does
not hang down.
The adjustment belt could be caught while
carrying the child seat (e.g. in elevator
doors). This can cause the shoulder belt to
be tightened unintentionally and cause
serious or fatal injury to your child.

Make sure that the seat belts on the child
seat run straight and are not sagging. They
must neither cut into the child's flesh nor
force the child's body into an unnatural
position.
