Positions of the carrying handle

DANGER!
The protective function of the child seat
installed in the vehicle is only guaranteed if
the carrying handle is in position A.
Make sure that the child seat is installed
correctly. In the event of an accident,
abrupt braking maneuver or a sudden
change in direction, the child seat may
otherwise become detached, and the child
and/or vehicle occupants may be seriously
or even fatally injured.

A: To carry the child seat and to secure it in
the vehicle
Caution Make sure carrying handle 5 is
engaged before lifting the child seat.
B: Safety stop
This position prevents carrying handle 5
from swinging backwards unintentionally.
C: While the child is secured in the child seat

Sun shade
The sun shade protects your child's head
from intensive sunlight (SPF 50). It can easily
be folded in and out using the shade bracket.
Fold the sun shade back to secure the

Always secure the child in the child seat
using the child seat belts. Make sure that
the seat belts on the child seat are pulled
tight across the child's body and are not
twisted.
If the child is incorrectly restrained in the
child seat or is not restrained at all, in the
event of an accident, abrupt braking
maneuver or a sudden change in direction,
the child may not be restrained and may be
seriously or fatally injured.

Persons – especially children – could be
seriously or even fatally injured as a result
of prolonged exposure to extreme heat or
cold! Never leave persons – especially
children – unsupervised in the vehicle.
WARNING

If you leave children unsupervised in the
vehicle, they could set it in motion, for
example by:
releasing the parking brake

shifting the automatic transmission out

of park position P
starting the engine.

In addition, they might operate vehicle
equipment and become trapped. There is a
risk of accident and injury.
When leaving the vehicle, always take the
SmartKey with you and lock the vehicle.
Never leave children unsupervised in the
vehicle.
