Maintenance and cleaning

To prevent electric shocks, do not allow moisture to ingress the
housing.
| Use a dry cloth, without cleaning agent, to clean the housing at regular
intervals. Do not use any abrasive or scouring agents, or solvents.
| Blast loose particles of contamination from the IR lens. Use a fine lens
brush to remove remaining contamination.

Safety

When opening the instrument, remember that some internal
condensers retain voltage potential that is dangerous to life after
being switched off.
If faults or unusual events occur, decommission the instrument and
make sure that it can no longer be used until after it has been
checked.
