5. Operation

5.1 Switch on the device

The VENTI-O is ready for operation once it has been connected as described

above. To start therapy, first switch on your therapy device and then your oxygen
system (with the prescribed flow; max. 4 l/min). The valve automatically enables
oxygen supply. The green status indicator lights up. There is no further need for
control of the device during operation.

5.2 Switch off the device

Please observe the following sequence when switching off the devices.
1. Switch off the O
switch off oxygen concentrator, close cylinder valve (oxygen cylinder), close flow
control (liquid oxygen), or disconnect therapy device from central gas system.
2. Switch off your therapy device. This also switches off the VENTI-O
status indicator goes out.
3. Clean the breathing mask and the exhalation system as described in the relevant
instructions for use.
4. Prepare the VENTI-O
preparation" on page 13.
