Automatic RESET for environmental pollution
The leak detector has an automatic function and RESET button to ignore potential cooling agent
environmental contamination.

Automatic setting of the contamination – once you turned on the device this takes the environmen-
tal contamination as neutral basic value. From now on only a higher concentration of cooling agent
gases is registered and an alarm is triggered when exceeding the limit values.
Attention
This may mean: in case the leakage results in a cooling agent concentration lower than the concentra-
tion in the ambient air, the unit cannot trigger an alarm even that there is a leakage.
- RESET – function – In case you want or have to do a RESET or reboot during leak detection, please
press the RESET button. In this case the value just found from the present leakage is taken as neutral
basic value and only larger leaks are now detected by the unit.
In order to circumvent any previous concentration in the room, you have to the open air with the device
or into a room without any cooling agent concentration.
Then restart the device again or press the RESET – button. From then on the unit will react to the slight-
est leakage.
Sensitivity settings
The leak detector has 3 different sensitivity levels. When you
turn on the device, it automatically puts it on the middle level
(medium).
In order to change the sensitivity you have to press the
LOW-sensitivity button and the green LEDs will be illuminated.
Then press the HIGH sensitivity button and the red LEDs will
be illuminated.
The orange LEDs mean medium sensitivity setting.
Operation of the leak detector
Important note:
Do not work with the device when there are flammable gases like gasoline vapours, natural gas,
propane or others in proximity.
How do I find a leakage?
Note: A sudden strong pivoting with the flexible sensor or blowing into the sensor opening will lead to
false positives.
Device ON/OFF:
Press the ON / OFF button. The device is then switched on and the LEDs will be illuminated.
After approx.. 45 seconds warm-up time of the sensor the device is ready for further settings.
Press the ON / OFF button again and hold for approx.. 5 seconds – thus switching off the device.
Auto RESET & RESET function button:
When you have switched on the unit you are in the automatic RESET mode and the lamp is illuminated.
For further information see like described before under „Autom. RESET„. Press this button again and
hold for approx.. 2 seconds. The lamp is not illuminated any more and the RESET function is inactive.
When the RESET - LED is no longer on, you will be informed that the device is now in manual function.
For confirmation press this button once.
