6 TRUNK INSTALLATION
The following diagrams identify the patching order of 48-strand and 72 strand trunks in common
configurations (Figures 26 to 28).
6.2 Installing an optional Trunk Mounting Clamp Kit
When utilizing Ultra-High density applications to a deck, additional trunk clamping capability may
be necessary. Install an HDF3168 Cable Clamp Kit by following these steps:
Optional Cable Clamp Kit
6.2.1 Determine the correct cable grommet for the installation.
6.2.2 A cable clamp kit containing a single axis grommet with an outside diameter of 0.325
to 1.125 in. is supplied with each deck. Multiple cables can be secured using the single
axis grommet. If cables smaller than 0.325 in. are used the multi-axis grommet can be
used to secure up to 7 cables (sold separately).
