6 Description and function

6.1 Description of the product

Twin pumps contain two identically constructed pump heads in a common pump housing with change-over
flap. Each pump can run in single mode
simultaneously in parallel mode
of default, an external switchgear is required..

7. 1 Installation
See Fig. 1 of this leaflet for installation positions of the pump. In case of installation in horizontal piping, a
regular permutation between the two heads is advisable.
7.2 Electrical connection:
Provide a separate mains connection cable and a separate fuse mains side for both motors of the twin-
head pump.
8 Commissioning
8.3 Setting the control mode and the delivery head
Note: Twin-head pump: If individual pumps run simultaneously in parallel mode, both must
be set imperatively on Δp-c mode, and the selected head meter must be identical (Fig 2 A).
Note: Twin-head pump: If individual pumps run alternatively by means of an automatic
permutation in reserve operation, set control mode and head meter must be identical (Fig.2 B/2C).
