4. ACCESS POINT MODE

The USB adapter can be used as an access point for wireless visitors to connect if
confi gured in access point mode. You can share Internet access with other devices. There
are two options to initiate this mode:
A: Select the "Virtual WiFi allowed"checkbox. The Virtual WiFi tab will appear.
To start the access point mode, select the "Start fl exible Virtual WiFi AP" box. Use the
"Settings" button to assign the network name and key. Click OK to save the data.
Check the "Set Internet connection sharing (ICS)" box to share a connection to the Internet
from your computer. The public network automatic mode is selected by default. If you want
to share another connection, uncheck "Automatic public network" and select the connection
from the drop-down menu.
B: click on mode in the menu bar and select access point. Automatically switches to access
point mode.
4.1. General
The general tab displays the basic information of this access point.
SSID: The SSID of the access point.
BSSID: The MAC address of the access point.
Table of associations: This shows the MAC address and duration of connection for devices
connected to this access point.
Confi guration: You can click on this button to adjust the settings of this access point from
as follows.
Profi le name: Default in the access point mode, it cannot be changed.
Network name (SSID): Name of this access point. It can be modifi ed.
Channel: You can select a channel (from 1 to 14) so that it matches the connection of
devices and try different channels to avoid interference.
Network authentication and data encryption: Here you can confi gure the network security
for this access point. If you select the encryption mode, you will need to enter and confi rm
a password.
