Head group adjustments

Every machine is perfectly adjusted before being sent.
However, you could need to recalibrate the head (after
a long period of work, after substituting mechanical
members or according to particular uses of the tyre
changer).
You can adjust the head in three different directions:
R
Horizontal (distance between nail and circle);
R
vertical (distance between the body of the head and
the circle);
R
in a circle.
.1.1

Check of the vertical position

1. Mount a circle with an average size from 15 to 17";
2. Block it on the self-centring plate;
3. Bring the tool (head) towards the circle;
4. Block through the suitable control;
5. Check the distance after locking (about 2mm be-
tween the wing of the tool and the circle).
Correction
1. Identify the two adjustment screws which are posi-
tioned in the front of the stilting column;
2. Loose the two locking lock nuts;
3. Loose totally one of the two adjustment screws;
4. Unblock the head and work on the screw that re-
mained in position:
$
If you turn it in a clockwise direction, you increase
the distance;
$
If you turn it in an anticlockwise direction, you
decrease the distance.
5. Turn the screw in the direction that you wish and
check the position again;
6. When the result that you obtained is suitable for you,
tighten the screw again;
7. Unblock the tool group and tighten the lock nuts
while keeping the screws in position.
.1.2
Correction of the position of the head in
circle
You need to adjust the position when the tyre tends to
slide from the tool during the assembly.
Instructions:
1. Open the locking screw which is positioned under
the tool;
2. Loosen the two studs;
3. Position the tool correctly;
4. Tighten the first stud paying attention to maintain
the direction given;
