11. HOW TO USE

Note:
Consult the general warnings and user instructions in this manual
WARNING!
• Getting into and out of a commode chair on your own can be potentially risky:
do so only if you are physically able and with care.
• Do not lean on removable parts, but rather on the seat frame.
DO NOT SHIFT YOUR WEIGHT ONTO THE FOOTRESTS WHEN GETTING INTO
OR OUT OF THE COMMODE CHAIR, AS IT COULD TIP OVER!!!

11.1 Getting into the commode chair

1. Get as close as possible to the chair, in a manner that it is positioned alongside you
2. Lock the brakes on the front wheels (only for the model with wheels); to make getting into
the commode chair easier, raise the armrest on the side where these operations are being
performed.
3. Rest your weight on the frame structure using your arms and slowly lower yourself into
the seat

11.2 Getting out of the commode chair

1. Get as close as possible to the side of another seat
2. Lock the brakes on the front wheels (only for the model with wheels); to make getting out
of the commode chair easier, remove the armrest on the side where these operations are
being performed.
3. Rest your arms on the frame of the chair into which you are moving, raise yourself and
slide slowly towards it

12. MAINTENANCE

MOPEDIA devices manufactured by Moretti S.p.A. are CE marked and carefully checked before
being commercialised. For patient and doctor safety, have the product checked at least every
two years by the manufacturer or by an authorised laboratory to verify its suitability for use.
Use only original replacement parts and accessories for repairs. MOPEDIA commode chairs only
need a few simple and periodic maintenance operations. The periodic checks to carry out are:

13. CLEANING AND DISINFECTION

13.1 Cleaning the covers and padding

The covers and padding are made of PVC. Clean them with water and mild soap.
