Drive ejector does not
start
Dust in exhaust air

Cause
Clogged filter.
Damp cuttings have blocked the
suction hose.
Freezing in drive ejector.
Filters too wet.
Dirt in drive ejector. (Shine a
torch through the drive ejector to
check for dirt.)
The compressed-air hose is not
connected to the dust collector.
Freezing in dust-collector air sys-
tem.
Filter damaged.
Filters not correctly attached.
Remedial action
Clean the filters
Clean out the suction hose by starting the
drive ejector and then striking the hose
carefully.
Pour approx. 1 dl of carburettor spirits into
the inlet hose of the drive ejector.
Check that the water separator is working
properly.
Take no action. The suction effect will im-
prove gradually during operation, provided
that no more moisture or water is sucked
into the filters during drilling.
See "Drilling in water-bearing rock".
Remove the ejector from the filter unit.
Carefully clean out the dirt.
Take care not to damage or deform the noz-
zle.
Connect-up the compressed-air hose.
Warm-up the parts carefully.
Replace damaged filters.
Fit and fasten correctly.
