The CDV Filter Box is a high capacity in-line filtering device designed to capture carpet fiber
and other solids extracted during carpet cleaning or flood extraction with minimal vacuum
loss. The CDV is designed for use with any truckmount extraction system.

DESCRIPTION
The CDV Filter Box is a high capacity in-line filter box
built to withstand the rigors of real-world working
conditions. The CDV is easy to maintain, featuring a
stainless lift-out filter cage and a rotomolded
polyethylene housing. A removable clear polycarbonate
window allows easy monitoring of filtering progress. Two
2 in. vacuum inlets allow for dual wand use, and 2 in.
and a 2½ in. outlet permit flexible application, including
use with truckmounts equipped with two vacuum ports.

SETTING UP AND USING THE CDV
1. Set the CDV flat with the see-through lid facing up.
Do not operate the CDV on its edge.
2. Run 2 in. and/or 2½ in. vacuum hose(s) from your
extractor unit(s) to the outlet side of the CDV (Fig. A)
and attach to the appropriate hose ports.

3. Attach one (or two) 2 in. i.d. vacuum hose(s) to the
vacuum inlet(s). When using only one inlet, use the
cap provided to close off the second vacuum inlet.
The CDV is now ready for use.
NOTICE: Do not operate the CDV on its edge. The unit
may not maintain a proper seal when standing upright.

Tips
To simplify setup and maximize the vacuum of your
system, place the CDV as close as possible to the work
area and keep the smaller-diameter hose runs from the
box to the cleaning tools as short as possible.

MAINTENANCE
During use. Clean out the filter cage when carpet fiber,
dirt or other debris are visible.
After each use. Rinse cage and housing with water
before reassembling. To maintain appearance, wipe all
surfaces with a damp cloth. For deep cleaning and a
lasting, protective shine, use an automotive interior
cleaner.
