Microphone Inputs 1&2: Microphones with a
¼" or XLR connector can be connected to these
input terminals.
2.
Fader Start Outputs 1,2,3,4: Use industry
standard 1/8"(3.5mm) cables to connect these
outputs to Numark and other popular brands of
CD player equipped with remote start. It is
recommended that the CD player is connected to
the same fader start output number as the audio
input channel number.
3.
Line Inputs: CD players, turntables, tape decks,
samplers or other line level output devices should
be connected to these inputs.
4.
Digital Inputs: CD players, turntables and other
playback devices with digital outputs can be
connected to these inputs.
5.
Line/Digital Selector: This switch selects
between the line and digital input connectors on
the rear panel.
6.
Phono Inputs: This input is used for connecting
most turntables to the mixer. Sensitive low noise
phono preamplifiers amplify the signal directly
from the needle. Do not connect line level
devices to this input.
7.
GND (Ground Posts): Use this connector to
attach to turntables or other devices that need to
be grounded to the mixer's chassis.
8.
Phono/Aux Line Selector: This switch selects
between the phono and aux line input on the rear
panel.
9.
FX Send/Return: Connect a signal processing
device to the stereo FX SEND outputs and FX
RETURN inputs to have the ability to route any
channel to the processor. A wet/dry control on
the top panel can be used to blend the return
signal with the send signal, and there is a CUE
button to audition the return signal in the
headphones. Refer to the Block Diagram for
more details on FX Send/Return routing.
10. Master Output (XLR): This balanced output is
for connecting to an external monitoring device
such as a PA system, powered monitors or a
home stereo. The level of the master stereo
output signal is controlled by the master knob.

11. Master Output Attenuator: An additional gain
control is provided on the rear panel to limit the
maximum output level of the Master XLR output
to prevent amplifier/speaker damage. It ranges
from 0dB(no attenuation) to -20dB.
12. Master Output (RCA Analog): This output is
for connecting a recording device such as a tape
deck or CD recorder. The level of the record
output is controlled by the Master volume on the
face panel, but not the rear panel attenuator.
The sampling frequency for the digital output is
44.1kHz.
13. Digital Output: (RCA Digital) 44.1kHz, 24-bit
S/PDIF output. The format is type 2, form 1, also
known as S/PDIF (Sony/Phillips Digital Interface
Format). This output can be connected to
compatible devices such as CD Burners, Hard
Drive recorders, or other digital mixers.
audio fidelity is maintained from these outputs.
14. Subwoofer Output: Connect this filtered master
output to a subwoofer.
15. Subcut Control: This controls the cutoff
frequency of the subwoofer output filter.
16. Booth Output: Connect this output to the DJ
booth speakers. A variety of output options are
possible, depending on the venue. Refer to Front
Panel Features and Customize Mode chapters for
more details.
17. Zone Output: Channels 1, 2, 3, 4 (pre-fader) or
the MASTER output can be routed to the zone
output. This is useful for multi-room, multi-mix
applications.
18. AC In: This mixer is designed to work with the
power supply cord that comes with the unit.
While the power is switched off, plug the power
supply into the mixer first, then plug it into the
outlet. The internal switching power supply
supports 90-230V AC power @ 50/60Hz.
19. Power Switch: Use this switch to turn on the
mixer after all input devices are already
connected to prevent damage to your equipment.
Turn the mixer on before you turn on amplifiers
and turn off amplifiers before you turn off the
mixer.
