YOGHURT PREPARATION
When you use your Yoghurt Maker for the first time you will need to
Milk (use one of the following): Whole milk, 2%, 1%, skim milk, soy or almond milk.
Note: Whole milk usually gives the best taste. Milk products have a lower fat content
and take longer to prepare and prepare, resulting in a softer yoghurt.
Bought natural yoghurt with active probiotics (Buy the freshest available, which has the
latest expiry date.)
Note: Do not use liquid or flavoured yoghurts or fruit yoghurts as starting culture.
Freeze-dried yoghurt cultures are available in most health food stores.
You also need:
• Timer (if the machine has an on/off switch)
• Thermometer
• Whisk
• High pot or a large microwave-proof measuring cup
• Liquid measuring cup
• Measuring spoon
