- Ensure that there is no cuts, wear and tear, fraying, incipient fractures, traces of rust or discoloration and
ensure that the markings are readable (identification and/or date of validity). Ensure that the buckles are
clean and that they function properly.
- Regularly check the ventral anchorage support made of sheathed braided rope. The fastening
knots on the support are double fisherman's knots (#7). They must be tight. Check the polyamide or
polyester/aramid sheathed braided rope for defects. If there is visible wear and tear on the sheathing,
the ventral anchorage support must be replaced.
- If there is any doubt on the reliability of the equipment, do not use it without getting the written
authorization of a person who is authorized to decide on its reuse.
- During assembly with other safety components, check their compatibility and ensure that all of the
recommendations and European standards in force (EN) are applied.
- In particular, ensure that no safety function of any component is affected by the safety function of
another component and that they do not interfere with each other.

MAINTENANCE/REPAIR :

To preserve the properties of this equipment, the maintenance recommendations must be followed:
- The equipment must be cleaned and disinfected only with cold water and a neutral soap; never use
detergents or chemical products.
- Dry in a ventilated area, far from any flame or a direct source of heat.
- Any modification or repair is forbidden and this equipment must not be used for any purpose other
than what it has been designed for or pushed beyond its limits.
- The equipment that has been through a fall must be destroyed to prevent it from being reused.
PERIODIC EXAMINATION :
- Service life: The equipment is designed to last for several years under normal conditions. The service
life depends on the frequency of use and the circumstances.
- Certain particularly aggressive, marine, siliceous or chemical environments can reduce the service life
of the equipment to only a few uses. In these cases, special care must be taken regarding the protection
and the inspections before use. Ensure that the necessary markings are readable.
- A periodic inspection carried out by a competent inspector is necessary to ensure the safety of the
user, which is connected to the maintenance of the effectiveness and resistance of the equipment. A
mandatory annual inspection will check the condition of the equipment and it can only continue to be
used on obtaining a prior written agreement. As concerns what has been mentioned above, the rough
estimate of the service life of the products, as recommended by the marketing authority, is 10 years.
- Ensure that the identification sheet and the maintenance monitoring table are kept up to date from
the time of the commissioning and during each inspection.
