Instructions for using Ubbink Garden ELIMAX
1
The Ubbink ELIMAX
pond pumps are high-quality products, designed using the very latest developments in pump
®
technology. The pumps are suitable for use in ponds, aquariums and fountains and in combination with filter systems.
The pumps have been developed using 'synchronous technology', whereby the electrical part is fully and safely integrated in
epoxy resin.
Extras
The ELIMAX
pumps have a number of unique characteristics that set them apart from other pond pumps.
®
FFS - Flexible Flow System
Increased output thanks to a flexible valve system that ensures low-friction water outflow.
EPS - Epoxy Protected System
Optimum safety by means of special insulating material based on high-quality epoxy resin system.
NSS - No Sponge System
Low maintenance thanks to the specially designed housing with accurately formed inlet slits, eliminating the need for high-
maintenance filter foam.
CSB - Ceramic Shaft Bearing
Increased output due to the low-friction and low-noise motor using a high-grade technical ceramic drive shaft.
TPS - Thermal Protection System
Extra protection from overheating thanks to an inbuilt thermostat switch.
SMS - Special Magnet System
Very powerful motor using special magnetic material made from rare metals (including neodyn and boron) instead of only
ferrite.
Use
• All pumps have an energy-efficient, very powerful and extremely reliable motor.
• The whole series is also suitable for dry installation. If the pump is to be installed out of the pond in this way, it must be
placed lower than the water surface. In order to do this, you must remove the upper housing and screw one of the hose
sockets supplied into the inlet opening.
• Since all ELIMAX
pumps have ceramic drive shafts, they are also suitable for use in salt water.
®
• You can use the pump for several purposes simultaneously, such as for a fountain figure and filter, using the junction piece
supplied.
• The clamp coupling supplied enables you to assemble the telescopic tube with sprinkler head accurately in a vertical
position.
• The adjustable feet also enable you to set up the pump firmly and securely.
Putting into operation
• Read these instructions for use very carefully.
• Never allow the pump to run dry.
• Install the pump at least 0.15 m and no more than 1.0 m under the water surface, on a stable base free of sludge, sand or
other dirt.
