Purpose
ManuMax provides anatomical guidance for the
affected wrist, thus relieving it during movement.
Thanks to its bi-elastic knitted fabric in combination
with anatomically shaped pads, the support applies
compression, therefore promoting lymphatic drain-
age, which results in reduced swelling and pain al-
leviation. Proprioception and the resulting muscular
auto-stabilisation of the wrist are improved. The
adjustable plastic rod and the textile strap provide
mechanical stabilisation.
Here is how to put on your ManuMax correct-
ly:
1. Open the velcro strap and slide your hand into the
wrist support until the stabilising splint lies on the
inner surface of your hand. Put your thumb through
the opening provided.
2. Position the wrist support in such a way that the
ring-shaped depression in the pressure pad en-
closes the wrist bone without pressure.
3. Now close the velcro strap with sufficient tightness
so that you feel an additional stabilisation of your
wrist.
The correct fit of the wrist support is assured when
it encloses the wrist tightly but does not apply a too
strong (painful) pressure to the wrist.
The wrist support can be readjusted at any time by
repeating steps 2 and 3 above.
Please note:
Only wear your wrist support when prescribed by
your physician. Medical aids should only be dis-
pensed by suitably trained staff of a medical products
supplier. The effectiveness of the wrist support can
only be realised if it is applied correctly. The wrist
support is largely resistant to oils, ointments, skin
moisture and other environmental influences. Certain
combinations may negatively impact on the durability
of the fabric. We therefore recommend that it gets
examined regularly by the medical products supplier.
Should the product become damaged, please consult
your specialist supplier. Do not repair the wrist sup-
port yourself – this could compromise its quality and
medical efficacy. For hygienic reasons, the wrist sup-
port is not suitable for treating more than one patient.
Washing and care instructions
Please observe the care instructions on the textile
label attached to your wrist support. Please take the
stabilising splint out of the wrist support and remove
the strap. Close the velcro of the strap. Wash the wrist
support and the strap in gentle or delicate cycle at
approx. 30 °C. Wash the wrist support separately the
first time (possibility of bleeding). If washing by hand,
rinse the wrist support well and allow it to dry at room
temperature. If possible, lay flat. Do not wring it out.
We recommend using the mild Juzo Special Deter-
gent. To reduce the drying time, you can place the
wrist support on a thick terry towel, roll it up tightly
and squeeze it firmly. Do not leave it in the towel and
do not place it on a heater or in the sun to dry. This
Juzo product must not be cleaned chemically. The re-
moved stabilising splint can be cleaned with a damp
cloth. Then slide it back into the pocket provided for
it when the support is completely dry (with the bent
spoon in front – the open side of the hollow section
faces away from the hand surface). Finally velcro the
strap onto the wrist support and it is ready for use
again.
