ASSAY MODE
The ASSAY MODE allows the user to access and run programs on Alethia. The user selects the Block to
be used from the Main Menu and then selects the Assay to be run. Each Block can be selected and run
independently. Upon selection of the Block to be used, the Assay Mode Menu appears. The User selects
the assay to be run and follows the instructions displayed on the Alethia display.
Once the run has been initiated, Alethia will prepopulate sample identification based upon the test well
position, date and time that the run was initiated. The user may select the Block with the test run in progress
from the main menu to edit sample identification information or to abort the test. Sample Identification
information can be entered directly using the keypad, the onboard barcode scanner, optional external
keyboard or optional handheld barcode scanner. Additional information regarding the Alethia onboard
barcode scanner and the handheld barcode scanner are provided in Appendix IV and Appendix V of this
manual respectively.
NOTE: Block temperature will appear in the 'TEMPERATURE' field. The 'Block Status' field will display a
timer indicating time until assay completion.
NOTE: Sample Identification can only be edited while a test run is in progress.
