Excessive air pressure will wear tools out
faster and can cause dangerous situations.
Never connect the tool to a compressed air
supply of 120 psi or above.
Check the air supply, all hoses, connections,
nipples and adapters and that clean dry air is
being supplied without leaks at the correct
pressure before use. NEVER use the air supply
and tool if this is not the case! Never use any
other pressurised gases, such as oxygen or
acetylene.
The compressed air system should be tted
with a lubrication unit.
Before use
Always disconnect the air supply before
attaching or changing tools or accessories.
Check that the tool is not switched on before
connecting air hoses.
Use
Always use respiratory protection equipment
and safety goggles when using compressed
air tools in dusty environments, as they can
cause dust to swirl around.
Compressed air tools can generate sound
levels in excess of 85 dB(A). If this is the case,
always use ear protectors.
Wear personal protective equipment such as
work gloves and safety footwear when using
the compressed air tool.
Do not wear loose- tting clothing, loose
hair, jewelry, etc. that may get trapped in the
moving parts of the tool.
Always maintain a rm grip on compressed
air tools during use, to avoid dropping the
tool in the event of sudden unexpected
movements.
Never point the nail gun at yourself or others.
NEVER hold your nger on the trigger unless
you intend to re a nail.
NEVER press the safety switch in when the
nail gun is not in contact with the workpiece!
If the gun discharges nails into the air, it can
result in serious injury or material damage.
Check for concealed power cables, pipes etc.
in the items, or surface, you are going to nail
to avoid hitting them with the nail gun.
Do not use the nail gun close to the edge of
the surface you are nailing, as the brads can
mis re and y/ricochet freely. Never use the
nail gun to drive in nails on top of other nails!
Always use the correct type of nail in the nail
gun.
Always be aware of the location of the hose.
Sudden changes in pressure in the hose
can cause it to move with suffi cient force
to knock over people and objects, possibly
causing injury or damage. Always ensure the
hose is not lying where people could easily
trip over it.
Never lift or carry compressed air tools by
their hose. Always hold the tool itself.
Disconnect the tool from its air hose when
not in use.
