AIR FILTER
CAUTION:
filter. The air filter must be kept clean. If it
becomes damaged, install a new filter
To clean the air filter:
1. Remove the 2 screws holding air filter cover in place
(Fig. 19).
2. Remove the cover and lift the filter from the air box
(Fig. 20).
3. Wash the air filter in soap and water. DO NOT USE
GASOLINE!
4. Air dry filter.
5. Reinstall the filter, cover and screws.
NOTE: Replace filter if frayed, torn, damaged or unable
to be cleaned.

FUEL CAP AND FUEL FILTER
CAUTION:
an approved container before starting this
procedure. Open the fuel cap slowly to
release any pressure which may have
formed in the fuel tank.
NOTE: Be sure to keep the vent on the fuel cap free of
debris (Fig. 21).
To clean the fuel filter:
1. Lift the fuel line and filter out of the tank. Use a steel
wire with a hook or a paper clip (Fig. 22).
2. Pull the filter off with a twisting motion (Fig. 23).
3. Replace the fuel filter.
