Case 1: The height of the workpiece needs to be defined
7. The workpiece is transported to the measurement table and is set down there.
8. The measuring cylinder advances with reduced pressure until contact is made with the workpiece or
with the point to be measured.
9. The measurement value is passed in the form of a parameter.
Case 2: The weight of the workpiece needs to be defined
7. The workpiece is transported to the scales module and is set down there.
8. The weight is determined.
9. The measurement value is passed in the form of a parameter.
Case 3: The height and weight of the workpiece need to be defined
7. First, the workpiece is transported to the measurement table and is set down there.
8. The measuring cylinder advances with reduced pressure until contact is made with the workpiece or
with the point to be measured.
9. The measurement value is passed in the form of a parameter.
10. The workpiece is transported to the scales module and is set down there.
11. The weight is determined.
12. The measurement value is passed in the form of a parameter.
Further sequence
13. Depending on the preceding sequence and result the workpiece is either ejected from the process or
transported further.
Case 1: Measurement result(s) correct.
14. The workpiece is transported to the end of the conveyor or to the next station.
Case 2: Measurement result(s) not correct.
14. The sequence is interrupted and the workpiece is transported back to the belt. The indicator light
changes to red flashing.
15. The stop cylinder advances.
16. Once the workpiece has reached the stopper cylinder it is pushed onto the slide by the ejection cylinder.
•
The sequence can be interrupted at any time by pressing the EMERGENCY STOP
button or by pressing the STOP button after the end of a cycle.
•
The following applies when several stations are combined:
The individual stations are aligned in the reverse order to the flow of materials.
