Draining the Tank

Before long term storage, drain all water from the tank.
• ONLY AN ADULT MAY DRAIN THE TANK.
• DO NOT get water on motors and electrical components.
• DO NOT attempt to lay Fire Engine on its side for draining. Fire Engine must remain
upright before, during and after draining to keep motor dry.
1. Elevate the Fire Engine by placing
on large blocks.
2. Reach under body and remove
drain cap.
3. Allow water to drain out completely.
4. Reach under body and replace drain
cap.
5. Lift Fire Engine off blocks and place
upright on the floor.
Maintaining Your Fire Engine
• Periodically check to make sure the seat screws and wheel nuts are tight. Make sure
the battery bracket is securely in place and the plastic parts are not cracked or broken.
• Occasionally use a lightweight oil to lubricate moving parts such as wheels and the
steering linkages.
• Park the Fire Engine indoors or cover it with a tarp to protect it from wet weather.
• Keep the Fire Engine away from sources of heat, such as stoves and heaters. Plastic
parts may melt.
• ADULTS ONLY: Recharge the battery after each use. Recharge the battery at least
once a month when the Fire Engine is not being used. See pages 4-5 for instructions
about recharging the battery.
• DO NOT wash the Fire Engine with a hose. DO NOT wash the Fire Engine with soap
and water. DO NOT drive the Fire Engine in rainy or snowy weather. Water will
damage the motor, electrical system and battery.
• Clean the Fire Engine with a soft, dry cloth. To restore shine to plastic parts, use a
non-wax furniture polish. DO NOT use car wax. DO NOT use abrasive cleaners.
• DO NOT drive the Fire Engine in loose dirt, sand or fine gravel, which could damage
moving parts, motors or the electrical system.
• Kid Trax recommends that you take your Fire Engine to an authorized service
center for periodic maintenance and service. Call Pacific Cycle, Inc. Consumer
