5. PROGRAMMING
The GW 20475 actuator must be programmed to recognise the transmission code generated by the TX module
installed on the GW 20470 or GW 20471 control unit.
Operations to perform:
- Place GW 20475 on a surface near the control unit, open the container, check that the coloured wire near the
red LED is closed, connect the power at the correct voltage referring to the connection drawings, wait for 2
seconds until the red LED is on with a fixed light.
- If it is associated to the GW 20470 unit: Enter the programme menu on the control unit with the mechanical
key and follow the procedure in the instruction manual Fig. 9.7 "menu for setting the ACTUATORS" on page 26.
- If it is associated to the GW 20471 unit: Enter the programme menu on the control unit by digiting the code
and pressing the # key. Follow the procedure in the instruction manual at Fig. 8.3 "System settings" on page 16.
- When the procedure on the control unit has been enabled, the red LED will start to flash on the GW 20475
board. Allow it to flash for a few seconds and then cut the coloured jumper situated next the the LED which will
cause the LED to switch off and memorize the code received from the control unit.
- Exit the programme menu on the control unit as indicated in the relative instruction manuals.
- To check the settings it is necessary to disconnect the power from the actuator, then power up again after a few
seconds, and arm and disarm the control unit observing the change in the LED status on the GW 20475.
- Disconnect the power from the actuator and install it in the best position possible; connect the indicator LED
cables to be laid at a distance of no more than 5 metres from the GW 20475.
WARNING: The siren command code is automatically generated by the control unit each time
it is subjected to total reset (return to Default). It is therefore necessary to remember that each
time it is reset to Default conditions, it is necessary to memorize the code again following the
above described procedure. When the GW 20475 buzzer is enable it will buzz for 1 second
each time there is a change in the function status of the control unit.
The information displayed by the GW 20475 unit are cancelled each time the power is
disconnected, it is updated when the power is reinstated with a variation of the function status
of the control unit. On GW 20470 control units the display will be automatically updated when
the power is reinstated.
If it is necessary to maintain the signal is it essential to install an appropriate power supply
using a buffer battery.
