Operation

The multi-function stop consists of the angle stop 1
(Fig. 1), the exchangeable stop rails 2 and 3 and the
rod holder 4. The multi-function stop is clamped to the
dovetail guides of the table top. The wing screw
underneath the rod holder is used for this purpose.
The multi-function stop can be used as a parallel stop
and also as a cross stop and mitre stop.
The position of the stop rails (workpiece positioning)
to the angle scale has been precisely adjusted at the
factory. Nevertheless, if a later adjustment should
become necessary, this is accomplished as follows:
Danger
Only carry out adjustments on the
multi-function stop when the saw
blade is stationary and the mains
plug has been unplugged.
Loosen the cylinder-head screw 8 (Fig. 3) in the
guide rod 5 with a screwdriver.
Attach the multi-function stop in the dovetail
guide on the left longitudinal side of the table.
Move the angle stop 1 (Fig. 1) to the 0° or 90°
position by releasing the upper handle 6 and
switch on the detent.
Push the stop rail 1 against the saw blade after
loosening the lateral wing bolt on the rod holder
4.•
Turn the eccentric bolt 7 until the stop bar 2 is
parallel to the saw blade.•
Retighten the cylinder-head screw 8.
The angle display is retained on the scale after
readjusting the stop!

Application as parallel stop

Danger
Only carry out adjustments on the
multi-function stop when the saw
blade is stationary and the mains
plug has been unplugged.
The multi-function stop can be used on the right or
left longitudinal side of the table as a parallel stop.
For this purpose, the angle stop 1 (Fig. 1) is set to 0°
or 90°.
Both stop rails 2 and 3 are interchangeable
depending on the application. For this purpose,
loosen the clamping lever 9 arranged on the
upper side of the stop. Pull the stop rails
completely out of the holder, replace them and
clamp them again with the clamping lever 9.
For this purpose, the stop is fastened in the
dovetail guide in such a way that the stop rail
runs from the front table edge to behind the
riving
knife/splitter
Adjust the cut width after loosening the lateral
wing bolt on the rod holder 4 (Fig. 1) by shifting
the guide rod. The cut width can be read off the
scale 10 (Fig. 2) at the edge of the stop rail that
is facing the saw blade. Retighten the wing bolt
after the adjustment.
Fasten the stop rail additionally at the front edge
of the bench by means of the clamping piece.
To do so, insert the square nut on the clamping
piece into the groove of the stop rail. Unscrew
the wing nut on the clamping piece until the
wedge engages behind the dovetail profile of
the bench top. Tighten the wing nut.
In addition, the stop rail 2 (Fig. 1) can be used rotated
by 90°. This facilitates cutting of narrow workpieces in
particular with an inclined saw blade, since the then
available low bearing surface enables closer
positioning of the parallel stop to the saw blade. To
do this, the clamping lever 9 is released at the stop.
The stop rail 2 is pulled out completely from the
holder and inserted rotated by 90° so that the narrow
edge faces the saw blade. Then retighten the
clamping lever. When the stop rail is in this position,
the cut width can also be read off the scale 10 (Fig. 2)
at the edge of the stop rail facing the saw blade.

Application as cross stop and mitre
stop
With the multi-function stop, the pivot point lies
exactly in the saw blade plane. This means that the
distance to the saw blade remains constant at all
angle settings, so that the longitudinal scale in the
stop bar is always correct. This prevents cutting into
the stop profile. The prerequisite for this is that the
stop rail 2 (Fig. 1) rests against the stop rail 3 and
that the multi-function stop is correctly adjusted in
relation to the saw blade.
