• Excessive engine cranking can damage the vehicle's starter motor. If the engine fails to start after the recommended number of
attempts, discontinue jump-start procedure and look for other problems that need to be corrected.
• If the connections to the battery' s positive and negative terminals are incorrect, the LCD screen will display as shown in the second
part of step 6 of the directions. Disconnect clamps and reconnect to battery with correct polarity.
• If vehicle fails to start, turn off the ignition, turn off the Jump-Starter Power Switch, disconnect the jump-start system' s leads and
contact a qualified technician to investigate why the engine did not start.
• Recharge this unit fully after each use.
AREA LIGHT
The built-in 2-LED area light is controlled by the area light on/off button on the control panel. Press the unit on/off button, then
the area light on/off button once to turn the light on. Press the area light on/off button to turn the area light off, then, if desired,
press the unit on/off button to turn the unit off. Make sure the lamp and the unit are turned off when the unit is being recharged or
stored.
Periodically check the unit' s battery status on the LCD screen. (Four solid bars in the battery icon indicates a full battery. One bar
indicates that the unit needs to be recharged.)
12 VOLT DC PORTABLE POWER SUPPLY
The 12 volt DC power supply is located under a protective cover on the front of the unit. Refer to the illustration of the features on
page 2 to locate. This portable power source is also for use with all 12 volt DC accessories equipped with a male accessory outlet
plug and are rated up to 5 amps.
1. Lift up the cover of the unit 's 12 volt DC outlet.
2. Insert the 12 volt DC plug from the appliance into the 12 volt accessory outlet on the unit. DO NOT EXCEED A 5 AMP LOAD.
3. Press the unit on/off button to turn the unit on.
3. Switch on the appliance and operate as usual.
4. Periodically check the unit' s battery status on the LCD screen. (Four solid bars in the battery icon indicates a full battery. One bar
indicates that the unit needs to be recharged.)
USB POWER PORT
The USB power port is under the same protective cover as the 12 volt DC outlet. Refer to the illustration of the features on page 2 to
locate.
1. Press the unit on/off button to turn the unit on. The LCD screen will display the following:
The "5V USB"icon indicates that the USB port is ready to use.
2. Plug the USB-powered device into the USB power port and operate normally.
3. Periodically check the unit' s battery status on the LCD screen. (Four solid bars in the battery icon indicates a full battery. One bar
indicates that the unit needs to be recharged.)
Notes:
This unit' s USB power port does not support data communication. It only provides 5 volts/500mA DC power to an external USB-powered device.
Some household USB-powered electronics will not operate with this unit.
120 VOLT AC PORTABLE POWER SUPPLY
Rated Versus Actual Current Draw of Equipment
Most electrical tools, appliances, electronic devices and audio/visual equipment have labels that indicate the power consumption in
amps or watts. Be sure that the power consumption of the item to be operated is below 200 watts. If the power consumption is
rated in amps AC, simply multiply by the AC volts (120) to determine the wattage.
Resistive loads are the easiest for this unit to run; however, it will not run larger resistive loads (such as electric stoves and heaters),
which require far more wattage than the unit can deliver on a continuous basis. Inductive loads (such as TVs and stereos) require
more current to operate than do resistive loads of the same wattage rating.
Using the 120 Volt AC Outlet
The 120 volt AC outlet is located under a protective cover on the front of the unit. Refer to the illustration of the features on page 2
to locate. This outlet supports a maximum power draw of 200 watts.
1. Press the unit on/off button, then the AC power button. The LCD screen will display the following:
The " "icon indicates that the 120 volt AC outlet is ready to use.
2. Lift up the cover of the unit 's 120 volt AC outlet.

3. Insert the 120 volt AC plug from the appliance into the 120 volt AC outlet.
4. Switch on the appliance and operate as usual. The LCD screen will display the following:
The digital display will show the wattage that the appliance is drawing from the unit.
5. Periodically check the unit' s battery status on the LCD screen. (Four solid bars in the battery icon indicates a full battery. One bar
indicates that the unit needs to be recharged.)
IMPORTANT: If an overload or over-temperature fault condition occurs while operating the 120 volt AC outlet, the unit will beep
twice, the " "icon will flash and the digital display will show "0W. " The process will terminate.
Should this occur, take the following steps:
1. Disconnect the appliance from the unit.
2. Press the AC power button to turn the outlet off.
3. Turn the unit off by pressing the unit on/off button.
4. Allow the unit to cool down for several minutes.
5. Make sure the appliance is rated at 200 watts or lower and that the appliance cord and plug are not damaged.
6. Assure there is adequate ventilation around the unit before proceeding.
PORTABLE INFLATOR
The built-in 12 volt DC inflator is the ultimate inflator for all vehicle tires, trailer tires and recreational inflatables. Three different
sized nozzles are supplied. Each nozzle will clip on the end of the standard tire valve connector located at the free end of the inflator
hose. The inflator hose with tire fitting is stored in a retaining channel between the jumper cable channels on the rear of the unit.
Refer to the "Features"illustration for locations of inflator hose. The inflator on/off button and inflator pressure control buttons are
located on the control panel on the front of the unit.
The inflator may be used by removing the air hose from the storage hatch and if required, fitting an appropriate nozzle to the air
hose. The inflator is capable of inflating up to 100 pounds per square inch (psi) pressure. The inflator can operate long enough to fill
up to 3 average sized tires before the battery must be recharged. Return hose to the storage compartment after use.

CAUTION: TO REDUCE THE RISK OF PROPERTY DAMAGE:
Do not operate inflator continuously for extended periods of time (approximately 15 minutes, depending on ambient
temperatures), as it may overheat. In such event, inflator will automatically shut down. Immediately press the inflator on/off button
to turn the inflator off. Restart after a cooling down period of approximately 15 minutes.
Inflating Tires or Products With Valve Stems
1. Place connector (chuck) on valve stem.
2. Ensure connector is pushed on to valve stem as far as possible before closing thumb latch.
3. Make sure latch is secure.
4. Press the unit on/off button, then the inflator on/off button. The LCD screen will display the following:
The number on the digital display will flash until a psi value is entered using the inflator pressure control buttons.
5. Press the "Up"and "Down"pressure control buttons to set the desired pressure. This must be a value between 1 and 100. Once
the pressure has been entered, the digital display will light solid. The LCD screen will display the following:
The digital display will show the psi value you have entered.
6. Press the inflator on/off button once more to begin inflating. Monitor the pressure on the LCD screen.
7. When desired pressure is reached, the inflator will automatically stop. Open thumb latch and remove connector from valve
stem.
8. Turn off the inflator by first pressing the inflator on/off button, then the unit on/off button.
9. Allow unit to cool, then recharge before storing away.
10. Store inflator hose and tire fitting in storage compartment.
