4 Getting started
In order to check proper functioning of the system, it is advisable to test the
set-up first, using a short CAT-5e/6 cable.
1.
Switch off all appliances before you start connecting.
2.
Connect the HDMI source (Blu-ray disc player, TV Decoder, Media
Centre PC, etc.) to the MegaView 90 transmitter [1], using an HDMI
cable (not provided).
3.
Connect your HDTV or HD projector to the MegaView 90™ receiver [3]
with an HDMI cable to HDMI OUT.
4.
Use one CAT5e/6 Ethernet cable to connect the MegaView 90's
transmitter to the receiver [4].
The MegaView 90™ can either be connected by using a single
cable, or through an existing home network (LAN) in combination
with network switches and routers.
5.
Repeat steps 4 and 5 to connect additional receivers.
6.
Connect the power adapter [5] to the '5VDC' connection on the
MegaView 90™ and plug the adapters into a socket.
Attention! Do not place the MegaView 90™ transmitter or receiver in an
enclosed space, such as a TV cabinet or equivalent. Provide adequate
ventilation to ensure that the product is functioning properly and to protect
against overheating.
