Silver-Series Cloth Insulators
DANGER
Immediate hazards which WILL result in severe personal injury or
death.
CAUTION
Hazards or unsafe practices that COULD result in minor personal
injury or property damage.
OPERATION
Your cloth insulator is designed to provide a long and efficient
service life. Overheating, contamination and misuse will greatly
reduce the life of the insulator.
CAUTION

Inspect the insulator before use (see page 7).

Never expose the insulator to temperatures above the
cloth's rated exposure temperature.

Never use fasteners, other than those provided with
the insulator, as a method to tighten the insulator. The
tightness of the insulator's shell will vary with shape
and insulation thickness.

Never cut, punch holes in or otherwise modify the
insulator.

Do not use tools such as pliers or vice grips to pull or
tug the insulator.
Failure to observe these warnings may result in personal injury
or damage to the insulator.

Standard Parts/Shapes: Pipe, elbow, tee, valve, flange, and seam cover.
Sizes: Pipe/tube OD 0.5in to 4.0in (12mm to 102mm)
Operating Temperature: Up to 450°F (232°C)
Cloth: FRC1650 polymer-coated fiberglass
Insulation: 1" (25mm) needle-punch fiberglass
Thermal Performance: R3.3, K0.21@75°F (24°C)
Closure: overlapping hook & loop closure
Note: Built-in drawstrings included with valve and flange insulators
Custom Options:
Custom insulators can be designed to fit nearly all sizes and shapes of pipes,
fittings, components, vessels and more (drawing and/or dimensions required).
Cloth and insulation materials are available to meet specific environmental,
location, and application needs. High-temperature cloth up to 1800°F (982°C)
and color options are available upon request.
A variety of custom closures options are available including overlapping hook
& loop, D-rings, fully-hemmed cloth straps, and more. For large or complex
custom insulators, built-in magnets can be used to avoid sagging and
bunching to ensure intimate contact with the surface of the object.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Prior to Installation:
1.
Measure the object being insulated to ensure proper size and fit.
2.
Ensure the surface is clean and free of debris, chemicals, fasteners, sharp edges,
or anything that may damage the insulator.
3.
Ensure the surrounding area and objects in use will not present flames, excessive
heat, harmful chemicals, moving parts, or anything that will cause damage to the
insulator while in use.
4.
Ensure the insulators meet required temperature specifications.
