Replace Filter Element
1. Turn off air supply to system.
2. Depressurize the filter bowls (B) by pressing sideways on
the brass fitting (C) located on the bottom of each bowl.
After air stops bleeding, bowls can be removed.
3. Remove the filter bowl (B) by depressing the center tab
(E) on the clamp ring (D) and rotating the clamp ring 1/8
turn while pulling the bowl down.
4. Unscrew the filter element (A) by rotating
counterclockwise.
5. Wipe clean any foreign matter in the filter bowls (B) and
filter housing (F).
6. Clean auto drain (C). See procedure listed in next
section.
7. Screw in the new filter element (A) by rotating clockwise
onto center stud (G).
8. The filter element (A) should be tightened to a snug hand
tight fit. DO NOT overtighten.
9. Replace filter bowl (B) and clamp ring (D) by depressing
the center tab (E) and rotating 1/8 turn, while pushing the
filter bowl up.
10. Supply air pressure at 10 p.s.i.g. (0.67 bar) to verify the
filter bowls do not leak.
11. If no leaks occur, resume operation at normal pressure.
Clean Auto Drain
The drain is designed to function while the system is
pressurized. It will automatically discharge when the water
level lifts the float off its seat.
This can be manually drained (while under pressure) by
pushing the manual drain stem (F) to the side.
1. Using a long 1/4" allen wrench, insert adapter with screen
(B) into bowl, with the threads sticking out the bottom of
the bowl. Be sure O-ring (C) is in place between the
bottom of the bowl and the adapter with screen (B).
2. Snugly tighten the jam nut (D) onto the adapter (B). DO
NOT overtighten.
3. Place stem "O" ring (E) into the O-ring groove of the
manual override stem (F). Lightly lubricate the stem
O-ring (E) and insert the manual override stem (F) into
the bottom of the adapter (B).
4. Insert a long 7/64" allen wrench through the bottom of the
stem and up toward the top of the bowl. Place the float
assembly (A) onto the end of the allen wrench and slowly
lower the float assembly (A) into position over the adapter
(B). When the float assembly (A) contacts the adapter
(B), screw the float assembly into place, using the 7/64"
allen wrench. Tighten the float assembly (A) into position
by holding the manual override stem (F) with a
1/2" wrench.
CAUTION
•
Be sure screen on adapter (B) is not bent in such a
way as to interfere with the float assembly (A) sealing
onto the adapter (B).
•
Never assemble or disassemble the drain by twisting
the float (A). This will bend the pin which controls the
operation of the drain.
