Nitrogen Tire Filling System Maintenance Instructions
Maintenance Safety Information
•
Failure to observe the following warnings could result in injury.
•
Always install, operate, inspect and maintain this product in accordance with all applicable standards and
regulations (local, state, country, federal, etc.).
•
The Nitrogen Tire Filling System contains high pressure gas in the tank and the rest of the system. The hazards and
precautions are similar to any compressed air or gas system.
•
Only Service Technicians that are qualified to work on pressurized pneumatic systems should be allowed to install,
maintain or repair this system.
•
All maintenance instructions must be followed to ensure proper and safe system operation.
•
Rusted tanks can explode. Drain Condensate from tank daily. Use manual drain valve on bottom of tank.
•
Always wear eye protection when operating or performing maintenance on this product.
•
Suffocation hazard. Do not inhale nitrogen.
•
Do not direct Pressurized Nitrogen stream at body.
•
Do not use damaged, frayed or deteriorated hoses & fittings.
•
Do not remove any labels. Replace any damaged label.
•
Never use a damaged or malfunctioning product or accessory.
•
Do not modify this product, safety devices, or accessories.
•
Do not bypass, modify or remove safety relief valve. System overpressure may result.
•
Never modify or repair tank. Obtain replacement from service center.
•
Always turn off the air supply, bleed the nitrogen and air pressure before performing any maintenance on the
system.
•
Use only proper cleaning solvents to clean parts. Use only cleaning solvents which meet current safety and health
standards. Use cleaning solvents in a well ventilated area.
•
Prior to attempting any maintenance work, ensure that:
- All gas pressure is fully discharged and isolated from
the system. If the automatic blow down valve is used
for this purpose, then allow enough time for it to
complete the operation.
