8. Maintenance of the apparatus
Clean the magazine space of dust and other residues
from time to time. It is recommended to put a drop of oil
on the impact blade now and then.
A hint for the expert:
If you should mainly use nails, a touch with a file reshar-
pens the blade edges.
For this purpose:
a) Pull out the plug
b) Push a rod at least 150 mm long through the bore at
the upper head end. Invert the apparatus and place on
the rod. The blade is forced out of the staple outlet by
a slight counterpressure!
c) Sharpen the rounded edges slightly with a file.
9. Clearance of faults
In the event of malfunctions caused by jammed staples
or nails proceed as follows:
a) Pull out the mains plug.
b) Take off pusher (see I) and empty magazine
space.
c) Release front plate toggle-type fastener, take off front
plate and remove jammed staples or nails (see III).
Attention: For all other malfunctions please return to
stockist!
10. Guarantee
NOVUS electric stapling guns are high-precision tools.
We guarantee them for 2 years subject to appropri-
ate handling and use of genuine NOVUS staples and
genuine NOVUS nails. In case of any guarantee claim a
voucher showing the purchase date (for example cou-
pon, invoice, supply note) has to be enclosed with the
consignment. Modifications to the machines will cause
expiration of any guarantee claims.

12. Hint if lengthening cable is used
The nameplate rating refers to the installation of electric
supply lines conforming to standards. The power of
the apparatus accordingly depends on the length of
the supply line used and its cross-section. To avoid a
distinct decrease of performance, it is recommended to
use, if necessary, a lengthening cable of at least 1.5 mm
cross-section and maximum 10 m length.
