3. PARAMETER EXPLANATION
Various training parameters are displayed in the training evaluation
and in the charts. On the basis of these training parameters you
can identify the training progress.
Note:
Assistive torque:
Extremities are driven by the motor. This value always
has a negative sign
Active torque:
The motor is driven by the extremities. This value always
has a positive sign
Activity left / right: percentage of leg activity separated
for right and left
Spasm count: number of spasms during training
Work: number of calories used during training (= energy).
A growing number of calories during the treatment pro-
cess demonstrates training progress.
Duration Active: duration of active (= with muscle power)
training time
Duration Session: duration of total training time (without
breaks)
Active torque: average torque for the active part of the
training time.
Torque max. peak to peak: torque amplitude between
the maximum values. Switching the power used from one
extremity to another results in a measurable torque fluc-
tuation. The more in sync a patient works with the crank,
the smaller the torque fluctuations are. This parameter is
only recorded in active operation (extremities drive mo-
tor).
Torque engine begin: sluggishness (tonicity) at the start
of the assistive training time (during the first minute); the
closer the value is to zero, the less torque the device
needs to move the extremities.
Torque engine end: sluggishness (tonicity) at the end of
training; the closer the value is to zero, the less torque the
device needs to move the extremities.
Assistive torque: average torque for the assistive share
of training time (extremities were driven by the motor).
Torque: average torque of the entire treatment session
(becomes "0" when active and assistive shares are
equal).
Rotation: average rotation
Power: average value of power generated. In order to
make training progress visible, the training duration must
always be known.
Pulse: average pulse during the entire treatment session
Covered distance: Covered training distance in km
