Start cycle
The "START CYCLE" function is used to
determine the first cycle (charge or disch-
arge) of a cycle charge process.
Interval cycle
If you wish to insert an interval between the
cycles, select "ON" at this point. If not, set it
to "OFF".
Interval times
At the end of any phase of the charge cycle
the length of the interval is determined by
two criteria:
1. Battery temperature higher than 35°C:
the interval comes to an end when the
temperature falls below 35°C again.
2. The interval is limited to a maximum of
one hour; after this the next cycle phase
starts, whether the battery temperature
has fallen to 35°C or not.
User name
If you wish to enter a User name, move to
the "User name" field using the cursor.
Press the "Enter" button to highlight the first
character field (black background). Now you
can use the "Select buttons / wheel" to
choose capital letters, lower-case letters,
figures and also special characters such as
+.
If you have entered the full name but there
are still vacant character spaces, you must
press the "Enter" button repeatedly until the
black character field is no longer visible. You
will not be able to move the cursor freely wit-
hin the menu until you have completed this
step.
The remaining functions are self-explana-
tory.

Power Peak E1
13. Charge - discharge process sequen-
ce at OUT1
Before you can start a charge / discharge
process the following steps must be car-
ried out:
• Connect the power source with correct
polarity,
• Connect the battery with correct pola-
rity,
• Set the appropriate battery type,
• Set the appropriate cell count,
• Set the appropriate battery capacity,
• Set the charge and / or discharge cur-
rent.
Once you have set the parameters, the
process can be started.
In order to:
charge = press the OUT1 button once;
discharge = press the OUT1 button twice;
discharge - charge the connected battery:
press the OUT1 button three times.
If you wish to initiate a cycle process, you
must also set the desired number of cycles
(1 - 10) using the "Select buttons / wheel".
If you wish to interrupt the process, press
the "OUT1" button again.
When the voltage sensor lead of a Lithium
battery is connected, the equalizing pro-
cess starts automatically.
It is also possible to adjust the charge /
discharge current during a process; this
can be carried out inter-actively using the
menu interface.
Any change to the selected current only
applies to the charge / discharge process
which is actually in progress.
Next time you initiate a charge / discharge
process the value stored in the "Battery
settings" menu or on the BID chip / key will
be applied again.
