•
Part numbers in bold type designate consumption parts.
Parts without part number are not supplied separately.
Important
• The connection thread for the air hose to the pressure feed
tank and to the spray gun is G 1/4 ext. (ball valves A and B).
• The connection thread for the paint hose to the spray gun is:
– For type R, G 3/8 ext. (ball valve F).
– For type RP, G 3/4 ext. (ball valve G).
• Recommended hose bore:
– For type R, air and paint hoses 10 mm (3/8").
– For type RP, air hose 10 mm (3/8") and paint hose 20 mm (3/4).
• Blow the paint and air hoses clean before connecting up.
• The compressed air is to be connected to the pressure feed tank
from an air reducing valve with air cleaner, e.g. LR510R.
• Check that all connections are tight.

Before releasing the cover of the pressure feed tank
the pressure must be relieved by opening the relief
valve (D).
Point to be observed before use
1. Check that the pressure feed tank is not under pressure by
opening the relief valve (D).
2. Undo the knobs (4), take off the cover (2) and fill the container
with paint. The paint can also be filled in the filling hole (3).
3. Fit the cover.
4. Tighten the knobs by hand. Do not use tools.
5. Close the relief valve.
Starting up
1. Open the ball valves (A and B). A suitable working pressure
for the spray gun is 2—5 bar, which is set with the reducing
valve on the air cleaner.

2. Open the ball valve (F for type R ) (G for type RP).
3. Adjust the air pressure in the pressure feed tank with its
reducing valve. A suitable

shows the air pressure in the pressure feed tank.
If more paint is to be added, the air pressure valve to the press-
ure feed tank must first be closed, whereupon the relief valve (D)
is opened to release the pressure in the container. Paint can now
be added. When ready, open theair valve again.
Check that the safety valve (E) blows at the right pressure.
Cleaning
If the paint is to be changed or if the work is finished and the
container is not to be used any more, the spray gun, hose and
container must be cleaned. The simplest and quickest way of doing
this is to proceed in accordance with the following directions:
1. Set the reducing valve (C) to zero and open the relief valve (D).
2. Undo the cover screws.
3. Place a piece of rag against the gun nozzle and press the
trigger in. The paint will then be forced back to the pressure
feed container.
4. Emty and rinse the container.
5. Pour a suitable quantity of solvent into the container, which is
now to be prepared in accordance with the directions given
above under the headings "Points to be observed before use"
and "Starting up".
6. Spray the solvent through the hose and gun but without opening
the air ball valve to the gun.
Lubrication
The threads of knob screws (3 and 4 ) and hose couplings
should be lubricated with vaseline in order to avoid any risk of
the different parts sticking
dismantling.
Note — Lubricants for surface treatment equipment must not
contain silicon.
