14. Using adjustable support stand or jack slowly lower Rear Suspension Lower Control Arm until pressure on spring assembly is
removed and is able to be removed from Rear Suspension Lower Control Arm pocket. Take care not to damage joints, brake
lines, or any other component on suspension corner during process. (The support stand or jack should be left in place and
used to support the Rear Suspension Lower Control Arm until installation of new spring and shock is complete).
Installation Procedure
Rear Shock Absorber Upper Mount and Boot Transfer to SG3 Rear Shock Absorber
Rear Shock Absorber Nut (reuse)

Remove Nut and Transfer to SG3 Shock Absorber
Tighten; 20 N·m (15 lb ft)
Rear Shock Absorber Upper Mount (reuse)

Remove and Transfer to SG3 Shock Absorber
Rear Shock Absorber Boot (reuse)

Remove and Transfer to SG3 Shock Absorber

Clearly Label Standard Rear Shock Absorber Assembly before transferring parts to SG3 Rear Shock
Absorber. This will eliminate the possibility of re-using the Standard Assembly with the SG3 Kit.
Note: Avoid Use of Impact Drivers to drive down strut rod or shock rod nuts. This could result in damage to rods
including breakage from over torque.
