Electrical safety
WARNING This apparatus must be earthed.
• Earthed equipment must be plugged into a
socket that has been properly installed and
earthed according to appropriate regula-
tions. Never remove the earth pin or modify
the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter
plugs. Check with a qualified electrician if you
are in any doubt as to whether the outlet is
properly earthed. Should the equipment suffer
electronic malfunction or breakdown, the earth
provides a low resistance path to carry electric-
ity away from the user. Applicable only to
Class I (earthed) equipment.
• Disconnect from the power supply before ser-
vicing.
• Failure to comply with these operating instruc-
tions may impair the safety of this equipment.
• Only use the cord supplied with the controller
to connect to the mains, and the cord supplied
with the tool to connect to the controller. Do
not modify the cords or use them for other pur-
poses. Use only genuine replacement parts.
• Failure to follow these instructions may result
in electric shock.
• Must not be used in explosive atmospheres.
• Avoid physical contact with grounded sur-
faces such as pipes, radiators, ovens and re-
frigerators. There is an increased risk of elec-
tric shock if your body is grounded.
• Do not expose the equipment to rain or wet
conditions. Water entering the equipment will
increase the risk of electric shock. This instruc-
tion does not apply to equipment classified as
watertight or splash proof.

• For minimum electrical interference, locate the
equipment as far as possible from sources of
electrical noise, e.g. arc welding equipment etc.
• Do not abuse the power lead. Never use the
power lead to carry the equipment or to pull the
plug from a socket. Keep the power lead away
from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts.
Replace damaged leads immediately. Damaged
leads increase the risk of electric shock.

Warranty
• Product warranty will expire 12 months after
the product is first taken into use, but will in
any case expire at the latest 13 months after de-
livery.
• Normal wear and tear on parts is not included
within the warranty.
• Normal wear and tear is that which requires
a part change or other adjustment/overhaul
during standard tools maintenance typical
for that period (expressed in time, operation
hours or otherwise).
• The product warranty relies on the correct use,
maintenance, and repair of the tool and its com-
ponent parts.
• Damage to parts that occurs as a result of inad-
equate maintenance or performed by parties
other than Atlas Copco or their Certified Ser-
vice Partners during the warranty period is not
covered by the warranty.
• To avoid damage or destruction of tool parts,
service the tool according to the recommended
maintenance schedules and follow the correct
instructions.
