If the horse expresses significant discomfort in this phase, please consult an
osteopath/veterinarian/physiotherapist. Carry out familiarisation phase 1 until the
horse shows significant signs of relaxation with this massage.
E
Familiarisation phase 2:
• Blue needle attachment (10-45 minutes)
• Massage the same regions as in phase 1, but now the deeper muscle layer will
be massaged with the needle attachment
• Manage device settings as in phase 1
Familiarisation phase 3:
• White ball attachment, needle attachment, blue trigger point attachment (10-90
minutes)
• Massage the same regions as in phase 1
• Start with the white attachment or needle head; massage the horse in all the
areas described
• Pinpoint single points in these areas with your hands
• Massage these points specifically with the trigger point attachment
• End the massage with the white ball head or needle head
In general, the following applies: start with little speed and short times, carefully
observing the horse – increase speed and time gradually – always end the massage
at a low level.
