 Connect the standard 9V battery with the correct polarity (note + and –) to the battery clip and
place this battery in the battery compartment.
 Then put the cover back on and tighten the previously loosened screw.

7. First use

Never exceed the maximum permissible input values.
Before measuring, remove the cover of the test lead and switch on the multimeter by pressing the on/off
button [8]. The multimeter has an auto power OFF function which works as follows:
If the multimeter is not used for 15 minutes, it switches to sleep mode.
To activate the multimeter from sleep mode, press the HOLD button [2] once or press the
on/off button [8] twice to reboot the device.
To deactivate the auto power OFF function, proceed as follows: keep the HOLD button [2]

7.1 Overflow indicator

The multimeter has an overflow indicator. If a measured value exceeds the range limit of the selected

immediately if possible, or remove the test probes [6] from the test object.

7.2 DC voltage measurement
