The TSL-SA400C is a AIT autoloader unit containing a built-in AIT-1 drive
unit SDX-400C. The magazine provided with the unit accommodates four
data cartridges.
The AIT Autoloader Unit TSL-SA400C has the following features:
• A highly-durable linear guide mechanism provides automatic loading/
unloading of data cartridges to the built-in AIT-1 drive unit SDX-400C.
• The Advanced Intelligent Tape format provides a huge data storage capacity
on an AIT-1 cartridge (35GB without data compression).
A 'Read after Write' function and three-level error correction code
guarantee high data reliability.
• This model includes a data compression function which allows storing even
more data.
• While reading, the drive automatically detects whether data has been stored
with compression, and decompresses the data if necessary.
• Ultra Wide LVD/SE SCSI interface.
The drive uses an AIT-1 cartridge.
AIT-1 Mark
Caution:
Regular 8-mm video tape cartridges look very similar, but are subject to an
entirely different specification, and cannot be used. Do not insert ordinary 8-
mm video tapes or data cartridges other than AIT cartridges. Insertion of
incorrect cartridge types can cause damage to the equipment.
