General Safety Instructions

ATTENTION! To prevent shock, injury and fire while using electrical tools, the following rules of safety must be complied wtht.
Please read and be alert to this advice before using a machine.
1. Keep the workplace in order
A disorganized workplace can lead to accidents. Do not allow
unauthorized persons (children) or animals access to
equipment or into the workplace. After use, put equipment
away in a dry and well-sealed space out of reach of children.
2. Take environmental influences into consideration
Ensure good light in the workspace. Pay attention to the
location of cables and wires in the workspace. Do not use
electrical tools in a damp environment (rain) or close to
inflammable liquids or gases.
3. Prevent electrical shocks
Avoid bodily contact with earthed objects, such as metal
pipes, radiators, central heating boilers, fridges, etc.
4. Use the correct equipment and do not overload it
Use equipment only for that which it is intended. Work
within the power limit indicated.
5. Use the correct tool
Do not use machines whose power is too low, or auxiliary
equipment for too heavy a load. Do not use machines for
purposes or tasks for which they are not intended.
6. Wear suitable work clothing
Do not wear baggy clothing or loose jewellery. These could
get caught in moving parts. When working in open air, rubber
work gloves and shoes with cleaned soles are advised. Use a
hair net for long hair.
7. Personal Protection equipment
Use a helmet to protect against falling items, gloves to
protect against sharp items, safety spectacles to protect
against flying grit and/or sparks. Hearing protection is
advised at noise levels higher than 80 dB(A), above 90 dB(A)
the use of hearing protection is obligatory.
8. Connect dust separation equipment
If the equipment is constructed for connecting equipment for
dust separation and dust collection, you must connect this
equipment and use it correctly.
9. Use the electrical cable correctly
Use only an undamaged extension cable suitable for outdoor
door and with sufficient insulation. Unroll the spool
completely, because of heat forming. Do not carry the
machine by the cable and do not use the cable to pull the
plug out. Protect the cable against heat, oil and sharp edges.
10. Ensure safe posture
Avoid abnormal physical postures and ensure a stable
balance.

11. Look after tool carefully
Keep the tool sharp and clean in order to be able to work
better and more safely. Follow maintenance rules and advice
with regard to changing tools. Check the cable regularly and
have damaged cables replaced by a certified expert. Check
the extension cables regularly and replace if damaged. Keep
handles dry and free of oil and grease.
12. Remove the plug
When equipment is not in use, during maintenance and when
changing parts.
13. Do not leave items on the machine
Before switching on, check that all tools, spanners, etc.,
have been removed
14. Prevent accidental switch on
Do not carry plugged-in machines with the finger on the
switch. When plugging in to the electrical mains check that
the switch is at off.
15. Use of extension flex outside
Use
only
extension
accordingly for this purpose.
16. Remain constantly alert
Focus continuously on the job, know what has to be done,
and do not use equipment if concentration lapses. Ensure you
are always able to quickly switch off the machine.
17. Check electrical tools for damage
For continual use of the machine, safety devices or damaged
parts must be tested for excellent and goal-oriented
function. Check that the function of the moving parts is in
order, that moving parts do not stick or are not broken, that
all other parts are perfectly and correctly assembled and/or
other conditions, which could influence the functioning of
the piece of equipment, are correct.
If not indicated in the instructions for use, damaged safety
devices and machine parts must be repaired or replaced by a
certified expert.
Do not use any equipment with a switch that cannot be
turned on and/or off.
18. Attention!
In the interests of personal safety, use only accessories and
auxiliary
equipment
instructions or the catalogue. The use of accessories and
auxiliary equipment other than that listed can increase the
risk of injury or damage.
19. Repairs may be carried out by certified mechanics
only
This device complies with the applicable safety rules. To
prevent accidents for the user, repairs may only be carried
out the certified experts.
