THE NATURE OF HAZARDOUS SITUATIONS
WARNING
The use of portable automotive lifting and support devices is subject to certain hazards that cannot be prevented by mechanical means,
but only by the exercise of intelligence, care and common sense. It is therefore essential to have owners and personnel involved in the use
and operation of the equipment who are careful, competent, trained and qualified in the safe operation of the equipment and its proper use.
Examples of hazards are dropping, tipping or slipping of loads caused primarily by improperly securing loads, overloading, off-centered loads,
use on other than hard level surfaces, and using equipment for a purpose for which it was not designed.
METHODS TO AVOID HAZARDOUS SITUATIONS
WARNING
• Read, study and understand all instructions before using. All instructions, warnings and safety precautions must be read and discussed
with an operator in the operator's native language.
• Inspect the ramps before each use. Do not use if damaged, altered, modified, in poor condition, or have loose or missing hardware or
components. Take corrective action before using.
• Do not use the ramps as a foundation for other lifting equipment.
• Do not use beyond rated capacity.
• Do not use ramps with super-single tires. Maximum allowable tread width is 18".
• Use rampas sobre alguna superficie dura y nivelada capaz de soportar la carga.
• Wear eye protection that meets ANSI Z87.1 and OSHA Standards.
• Use ramps only as a matched pair to support one end of a vehicle only. Do not simultaneously support
both ends or one side of a vehicle.
• Do not drive vehicle on ramps until the T-handle is in its stored position.
• Always center each vehicle wheel between the sides of each ramp.
• Do not disconnect vehicle brakes, engine or transmission, drive shaft, universal joints, or wheels when vehicle is on ramps.
• Keep non-skid material under the ramps from slipping by periodic cleaning.
• Be sure the wheels to be driven on the ramps are positioned straight forward in alignment with the ramps and center the two ramps
against the tires.
• Another person, standing clear from the vehicle path, should observe and guide the vehicle operator when ascending and descending the
ramps.
• Never accelerate or apply brakes suddenly. Proceed slowly and cautiously. Once the vehicle reaches the top of the ramps, apply brakes
only to prevent roll-off.
• Place the vehicle in neutral. Release brakes, vehicle should not move. Set emergency brake. Place vehicle in park (or in reverse gear for
manual transmissions). Chock wheels on the ground.
• Be sure that both tires are properly positioned on the ramp's support platform. Use caution in positioning your body clear of danger; shake
vehicle sideways and endways to be sure that vehicle and ramps are stable. Check that ramps have not become damaged or bent during
loading.
• Supplier may provide information to assist the user in selection of appropriately rated ramps for different gross vehicle weights.
• If assembly is required, follow the assembly instructions provided.
• No alterations shall be made to this product
