For a submerged pump, installation type C, the lowest stop level
must always be above the pump housing.
Warning
Install an additional level switch to ensure that
the pump is stopped in case the stop level switch
is not operating.

To ensure adequate cooling of the motor during operation, the
following minimum requirements must be met:

Installation type S:
The pump must always be covered by the pumped liquid to the
top of the motor.
Warning
For FM-approved pumps of installation type S,
the liquid level must always be to the top of the
motor.

Installation type C:
The pump housing must always be covered by the pumped
liquid.
