5. Trial Run
•
Make sure the required operating voltage and power supply voltage match.
•
Ensure that the socket is properly grounded.
•
Plug the power cable into the system, then into the outlet. Make sure the power is on and begin the initiation.
•
Add the medium into the vessel with a magnetic stirring bar; make sure the magnetic stirring bar has a convenient
size.
•
Put the vessel on the work plate.
•
Set the stirring speed and start stirring.
•
Observe the magnetic stirring bar.
•
Set the target temperature and start heating.
•
Observe the real temperature through an external control of the medium's temperature.
•
Stop the heating and the stirring.
If the operations above cause no abnormalities, the device is ready to operate. Otherwise, the device may have been damaged
during transportation, please contact the manufacturer/supplier for technical support.
6. Operation
•
Place the magnetic stirrer on top of a horizontal, flat, and stable table making a free space of at least 30 cm on
each side. Do not put the stirrer near any warm supply.
•
Plug in the power cable and press the general switch.
•
In the middle of the plate, place a glass with the magnet and the solution to be stirred; then, gradually increase the
stirring speed.
•
Setting the stirring speed: Turn the speed knob clockwise; the movement indicator will light up. Adjust the stirring
speed according to your needs.
•
Setting the temperature: Turn the temperature knob clockwise; the temperature indicator will light up. Then, adjust
temperature's intensity according to your needs. Remember that the solution's temperature is always lower than the
hot plate's adjusted temperature.
•
Placing the thermometer: Assemble the two parts of the stirring bar and insert it in its support at the back side of the
equipment. Once the bar is placed, place the bosshead at the desired height, hold it with the screw, and place the
thermometer clamp.
