CAUTION
• Regular and careful maintenance is
essential to maintain security levels and the machine in
optimum performance.
• Before cleaning, repairing, inspecting or storing the
machine shut off the motor and wait it cools down
completely.
• Keep all the nuts, bolts and screws tightened to assure
the machine is in a safe working condition.

1. If operating the machine in dusty environments carry out maintenance more frequently.

• Check the air filter. Double check is in good repair.
Remember, a dirty filter can cause starting problems, loss
of performance and shortens the motor useful life.
• Remove the air filter cover loosening the locks.
• Wash filter in a hot water and detergent solution.
Allow the filter to dry completely.
• Soak the filter in clean SAE-20 motor oil. Squeeze out
excessive oil. The motor could expel smoke when
starting if oil remains in the filter.
• Install the filter back into the container. Replace the
cover.
CAUTION
Never use gasoline to clean the air filter.
It could cause a fire or explosion. Never start the
machine without the filter being in place. The motor will
wear out faster.

Minimum
• Do not alter safety devices. Verify regularly its proper
operation.
• Any worn or damaged part shall be replaced before
using the machine. Do not try to repair parts. It can
damage the machine and be a risk to your safety.
• Any repairs or maintenance different to those described
in this section, for example, adjusting the carburetor, shall
only be carried out in a
Service Center.

Oil Replacement
• The oil drain cap is underneath the motor (B).
• Place an adequate container underneath the machine
to catch the oil. Remove the drain cap and then, the
tank cap (C). When oil has drained, set back the drain
cap.
• Wipe clean any leakage or spilling.
• Fill up the tank with SAE-10W/30 oil.
• Check the oil level inserting the oil tank cap unscrewed.
Oil level shall show between the minimum and
maximum marks in the rod. Double check the level is
not exceeding the maximum mark. Tighten the tank cap
when the level is adequate.
• Start the motor and leave it running briefly. Stop the
motor. Wait one minute and check again the oil level.
Refill if necessary.
• By no means discard oil in the sewer. Take used oil to
a recycling unit.
