8. Turn the outside thumbturn to the
right
(clockwise)
position; then release. The new
combination is now active.
9. Test your new combination a few
times before you shut the door.
Lock and unlock the door following the
instructions in section 6.
If the outside thumbturn retracts the
latch or bolt and you have not entered
your combination, steps were done out of
order and the lock is in zero code.
10. Repeat steps 4 to 8 until the latch or
bolt retracts only after you enter
your new combination.
11. Replace the screw on the top of the
lock housing.
NOTE: The outside thumbturn cannot be
forced to retract the latch/bolt because it is
connected to the lock housing by a friction
clutch. If the thumbturn has been forced, it
can be turned back to the vertical position
by hand without damaging the lock.

8. Gire la palometa exterior a la derecha
hasta el tope y suéltela. La nueva
combinación ya está activa.
9. Compruebe algunas veces la nueva
combinación antes de cerrar la puerta.
Cierre y abra la puerta siguiendo las
instrucciones de la sección 6.
Si accionando la palometa exterior el
pestillo se repliega y no ha introducido la
nueva combinación, eso significa que no ha
seguido correctamente las etapas y la
cerradura está en código cero.
10. Repita las etapas 4 a 8 hasta que el
pestillo se repliegue solamente después
de
haber
combinación.
11. Vuelva a colocar el tornillo de la parte
superior de la caja de la cerradura.
NOTA: La palometa exterior no puede
forzarse para replegar el pestillo porque está
conectada a la caja de la cerradura por un
embrague de fricción. Si se ha forzado la
palometa, puede girarla de nuevo a la
posición vertical manualmente sin dañar la
cerradura.
