FOR YOUR SECURITY THE
COMBINATION MUST BE CHANGED
WHEN THE LOCK IS INSTALLED.
The door must be open.
1. Turn the outside thumbturn to the left
(counterclockwise) to the stop position;
then release. This will clear any random
entries from the mechanism. When the
thumbturn is turned to the left on a
deadbolt
model,
automatically thrown into the locked
position; therefore, it is important to
keep the door open while changing the
combination.
2. Enter the existing combination. On new
installations,
combination:
simultaneously, (release), then III
(release). You should feel a slight click
as each button is depressed.
3. Use the Allen wrench (item d on
checklist) to remove the screw from the
top of the lock housing (see figure 8-1).
4. After removing the screw. Insert the
Allen wrench into the hole and depress
the internal lockout slide; you should
feel a slight click. Do not force.
5. Remove the wrench.
6. Turn the outside thumbturn to the left
(counterclockwise) to the stop position,
then release.
7. Choose your new combination, write it
on page 25, then enter the new
combination
carefully (a slight click should be felt as
each button is depressed).
NOTE: You can use one button or all five for
a combination, but each button can only be
used once. You can depress two or more
buttons simultaneously as a step in the
combination.

hasta el tope y suéltela. Esta acción

mantenga la puerta abierta cuando
cambia la combinación.
2. Introduzca vieja combinación. Si instala
una
cerradura
IV
combinación programada de fábrica:
apriete II y IV simultáneamente, suelte,
después III y suelte. Cuando apriete cada
botón, deberá oír un leve chasquido.
3. Utilice la llave Allen (artículo "d" en la
lista de verificación) para quitar el
tornillo de la parte superior de la caja de
la cerradura (ver figura 8-1).
4. Después de quitar el tornillo, inserte la
llave Allen en el agujero y apriete la
platina de bloqueo interna; deberá oír un
leve chasquido. No la fuerce.
5. Saque la llave.
6. Gire la palometa exterior hacia la
izquierda hasta el tope y suéltela.
7. Seleccione
Escríbala en la página 25 y métala
apretando cuidadosamente los botones
(deberá oír un leve chasquido cuando
aprieta cada botón).
NOTA: Para la combinación pueden
utilizar un botón o los cinco, pero cada
botón sólo puede utilizarse una vez. En
una etapa de la combinación puede
