Fan Auto and Temp Set (Up and Down)
Ceiling fans are designed to blow air over your
skin which allows evaporative cooling to oc-
cur and can feel like it is 7 degrees Fahrenheit
cooler. This ceiling fan is not an air-condition-
er and can not lower the temperature of your
room. Ceiling fans when used in the auto func-
tion will adjust the speed of the fan to speed up
and feel cooler or slow down so not to create

fresh
a chill during normal on/off operations of your
air-conditioner or heater.
By using a fan in air down mode, you can have
the same comfort as if you set your thermostat
in the summer from 72˚F to 79˚F which some
studies show consumers can save up to 15%
electricity usage.
When using the fan in the winter, turn the fan
to the air up mode so as to slowly mix the hot
air 12 inches below the ceiling pushing outward
and downward with the other room air which
will allow you to turn your thermostat from
80˚F to 72˚F which can save up to 15% on fuel
bills since the whole house heater does not turn
on as much and you feel comfortable.
This comfortable tip is friendly to the environ-
ment and can save you money with the use of
ceiling fans in every room.
- Pressing the Fan Auto button places the fan
in automatic fan control mode. In this mode
the fan speed is automatically set on "High",
"Med.", or "Low" speed depending upon the

room temperature and the user selected tem-
perature set point. Press the Temp. Set Up and
Down buttons to select the desired room tem-
perature. If the room temperature is less than
the set point then the fan turns off, if the room
temperature is within 1 degree F over/or equal
to the set point then the fan will be on "Low"
speed. As the room temperature increases the
fan will automatically switch to "Med" and
then "High" speed. For every 2 degree F over
the set temperature, the fan will switch to the
next higher speed.
Wall Mount - Your remote control model
comes with a holder included for the transmitter
which can be mounted on a convenient location
on a wall. The holder will help prevent your
transmitter from being misplaced.
The remote control monitors the air temperature
to automatically control the fan speed. Ideally,
place the control on an interior wall where it
will accurately read the air temperature away
from direct sun or other heat sources.
