Turning on a cooking area
Place a pan on the area and turn the knob to
an operating position between the minimum
and maximum (display will show the value
set).
Turning off a cooking area
Turn the knob to the zero position.
Control lock
(child safety)
Model CPH 402 ID X
This is activated by simultaneously turning
the 2 knobs to position "A" for a few seconds
until the letters "L" Lock are displayed
and then releasing the knobs in the "zero"
position.
The letter "L" will appear on both displays
for 10 seconds and then they will turn off.
When a knob with the child safety function
active is turned, the displays show the
letters "L".
Unlocking/deactivating child
safety
Model CPH 402 ID X
To deactivate the function, simultaneously
turn the 2 knobs to position "A"; the display
shows the letters "L" for a few seconds and
then turn off. At this point, the function is
disabled and you can release the knobs in
the "zero" position.
Booster and power management
(Fig. 13)
These models have a booster function. The
generator, with Booster enabled, gives the
cooking area significantly higher power
than the rated power. The Booster allows
a very rapid heating of food and, therefore,
saves you time. The Booster function can
be activated in the following way:
- The cooking area must be on the highest
possible level; - Turn the knob to position "P"
(non-permanent Power Booster position) for
1 second to activate the booster function.
The display of the cooking area shows a
non-flashing "P".
The power increase is different depending
on the size of the cooking area:
1) For a cooking area with a diameter of
160 mm, the power goes from a level 9
of 1200 W to the Booster level of 1400 W
without time limit.
2) For a cooking area with a diameter of
180 mm, the power goes from a level 9 of
1400 W to the Booster level of 2000 W for
5 minutes.
3) For a cooking area with a diameter of
250, the power goes from a level 9 of
2300 W to the Booster level of 3000 W for
5 minutes.
For safety reasons, the Booster function in
cooking areas with diameters of 180 and
250 mm can only be activated for a limited
period. If during pot is removed from the
cooking area during the Booster time, the
Booster remains active and the Booster
time is not deactivated.
With the Booster activated, turning the knob
counter-clockwise towards the minimum
disables the Booster function.
Automatic heating (or "heat-up"
function)
This feature makes cooking easier. You do
not need to be permanently present during
cooking: the surface automatically heats
up at Full Power and then returns to the
selected power level after a certain time
